3-D
Stereographic Adaptor Kit
Internal Circular
Polarizer Kits for HD-10K/HD2K/HX2/SX21 - New internal circular kit has no
light loss, actually you gain 5% more light, and requires no alignment
or external hardware. Combined with lens offset kit and 1:1 lens,
gives and excellent dual projector, stereograph system. see paper
above for details.

External Kits - This kit is designed for
most all model projectors made by JVC and Hughes-JVC.
You will need 2 projectors to use the stereographic mode.
The adaptor kit allows you to rotate the polarization of the
projection light to meet your requirement and a post polarizer to
improve the 3-D effect, or extinction ratio between left eye / right
eye. The basic kit is ideal
for the QX-1, M series D-ILA projectors and ILA-12K.
The kit has an adaptor mount to the projection lens or bezel, a l/4 wave plate, and a post polarizer. Other options are available depending on the model of
projector and may affect the price.
I.e., if the projector is linear polarized, then l/2 or 2- l/4 plates are required. The light efficiency is around 95% with
just polarization rotation and 65% with the post polarizer.
NOTE: The post polarizers improve left eye/right eye extinction ratio by
over 3X, which gives a much deeper 3-D effect, not available with
circular polarization.
See
the tables below on the efficiency and requirements for the different
model types.

Notes: G150CL with zoom lens uses 2 wave plates as
it is a linear output, the M series
uses only one, thus the 8% loss with wave plates only. The QX-1
and 150CL have better efficiency with post polarizer due to better
initial contrast of the projector.
